I please need a kenwood kvt 516 wiring diagram to hook up my stereo i dont know what each color is. like left fron speaker etc. please help

make sure none of your speakers or speaker wires are shorted out or going to ground. make sure you have no bare wires.

Most modern car stereos have 4 channels. Each channel has a pair of wires, one a solid color and one the same color with a black stripe. The solid color is positive and the black stripe is negative. The channels will be color coded white for left front, grey for right front, green for left rear and purple/violet for right rear. So you simply hook up the positive and negative wires from each speaker to its corresponding channel based on the speakers position in the car.

sounds like the speaker is not grounded and to by pass the amp there are two way unhook the speaker wires to the amp and trace what color is what or just run a new speaker wire from stereo to speakers i hope this helps.

See if this link is of any help. I know how crazy these new wire colors can be. I don't know why they don't keep it simple and universal meaning all constant power be red, alt power blue/white, ground black, etc. etc. Even my Hyndai has crazy wires. my red is lf speaker, yellow, lr speaker, etc. Goodluck with it man.
