Hard disk drive for ps2 slimline

You need to put a small weight ontop of the disc drive and then it should work

should be able to use linksys but i always just plugged in with a direct ethernet cord connection. you also have to have the online setup disk for ps2 which should have come with the ps2 slimline. just install disk and follow instructions from there! GOOD LUCK!

not without modding your psp, its not really worth it

that probably means that the disk is bad because that happens to me to alot with guitar hero or that u will need to put something on top of the ps2 were u put the disk in so that will keep it straite if that doesnt work then its the laser or the hard drive

hello pauldonp...if this is an early version of the slimline they had a problem with over voltage which inturn took out the laser.your only option may be to replace the laser . sony did bring out a mod for this..i preferr the real old version of the ps2 as they had all separate boards and if one went faulty you didnot have to replace the lot ,also the lasers were a lot cheaper than the later models .in the slim lines the lasers are not all that expensive .they do take a bit of setting up as you have to know the ohms setting on the laser for each model..hope this helps

the problem I had is my ps2 slimline wouldn't play ps2 games. so I went on line and followed instruction took it all apart cleaned everything nothing. put it back together, for some reason I openned the ps2 where the disk goes there you can see the eye, I took a small flat heat screw driver the ones you use to fix eye glasses, and put it under the eye assembly and so gentle pushed it up. now it works perfect. not to hard you don't want to break it, I didn't even see it move.
