My JVC car radio/CD player only allows me to scan for stations

I want to connect my Sirius/XM radio through my 7 year old JVC car radio. I need a ''dead'' station, but my radio will only let me scan and therefore only ''live'' stations come up. How can I manually pick the statioin?
Thanks

WHAT IS THE SRC BUTTON FOR ON A JVC RADIO

It simply means "source". These radios typically have AM/FM, CD, auxiliary (1/8" plug), USB, and some XM/Sirius input selections. The source button is how you choose.

How do you get the sirius radio hook up to be displayed on the interface

If you have all the devices hooked up correctly using the JVC/Sirius interface. It does not recognize it if it's defective. Most common problem sirius/xm has. The miniport for the antenna connection has a bad solder joint and thus is inop. if it does turn on by chance, it will say "acquiring signal" and that's it. If it's new get it replaced. If it was working prior to this, and it's out of warranty, go on Ebay and get a rebuilt tuner, their about 50.00 and more reliable than new. Hope this helps

Since Sirius took over, MY XM Roady will not stay on a station.

I called XM Radio and told them my problem. They told me to park my car in the drive way and turn on my XM Roady, an within the next three hours they would send a signal from the sattelite to fix the radio. Withing less than 30 minutes they had fixed it, and it works fine now.

XM and Sirius radios have merged and that is what caused the problem.

Sirius radio

From my experience, you can not integrate the vehicle Satellite equipment into aftermarket audio pieces. You will have to buy a JVC specific Sirius tuner or use an Fm modulated unit.
