How do i get my tv to work

say again? and no year, what a waste that.....
is engine running,
is key in igntion, where is it, off , on?
is foot on brake pedal
slips to where? try to be exact.
slips to reverse, or neutral? or????
first off, park lock freezes the shifter in to park, until brakes are applied.
so my guess, is ,sigh.
you step on brake, start car, and the shifter falls to neutral
it cant fall to nothing, only, PRNDL (&2)
some cars have a park button on the shifter that locks you in park
this can fail, its just a simple lock in the handle.

you can not play dvd's when the car is not in park with the e brake on. I"m assuming it was factory installed or by a dealership??? they hook a line from it to your brake sensor. it's illegal to watch movies while you're driving. so long as theyre behind your seat and out of your view theyre legal, otherwise they hook it to your brakes.

• Yes it does. The emergency brake wire is a safety feature. If you don't have it hooked up it won't even display anything. If you do have it hooked up then you have to have the emergency brake engaged to be able to view DVD'S. The manufacturer does this so people can't just unhook the brake wire and watch DVD'S while driving

the parking brake wire just needs to go to a ground other than the ground for the deck and the orange reverse light wire you shouldn't have to worry about it if you turn on the deck and you still can't watch movies try hook it up to the illumination wire.

there should be a shift lock overide button on the shifter look in owners manuel. just push button in and shift
make sure brake lights work most cars wont shift out of park unless brake is on. they use the brake light switch for this though some have a seperate switch on the brake pedal
check ALL fuses under dash and under hood replace any that are bad

that is a lockout so you will not drive around and watch tv. You need to hook up the parking brake wire from the radio. there are ways around it if you want to drive around and watch tv

simply hook it to a togle switch. Hook one end of the switch to ground, hook the other end to the jensen, then you can flip the switch off and on to make the jesen think you are using the parking brake

Sounds like the shift lock is not working. Maybe something was put together wrong with the ignition switch.

there should be a wire they wanted you to hook to the parking brake as a safety feature so you cant drive and watch tv. but you can just take that wire and ground it to your black ground wire on your radio that should give you your pic

You need the remote to do the code thing, or try hooking the parkbrake sensor up to full time power to trick the unit into thinking that the parkbrake is off. Try that and see how you go. If it doesnt work that way, try taking it to full time chassis(earth)
