It is made that way so you have to set the parking brake before you can view the dvd. You can bypass this by grounding the pink wire coming from the back of the unit.

You can not play dvd's when the car is not in park with the e brake on. I"m assuming it was factory installed or by a dealership??? they hook a line from it to your brake sensor. it's illegal to watch movies while you're driving. so long as theyre behind your seat and out of your view theyre legal, otherwise they hook it to your brakes.

My vm9510 wont play the dvd with out saying parking and screen blue

You have to connect the park wire of the Jensen to your hand brakes that gets a negative signal everytime you engage it or you can try to put in series the park wire to a switch and any ground. Then read your manual how many times you got to switch it on and off until the picture appears when your dvd is playing. Same thing if you connect it to your parking brakes you got to engage your parking brakes on for 1 or 2 secs then back off then back on again for 1 or 2 secs keep doing this varying the secs till you get a picture. That will be the sequence to turn off that blue screen and on the dvd to watch the movie. Read your manual very carefully it will tell you the same thing but you definitely have to hook up the brake wire or else you will never see the picture. Check the manual for the color of the brake wire or just find the longest wire on the harness and thats usually the brake wire.

Cant play dvd when driving on my jenson VM9312

That is due to the parking brake sensor on most DVD players. Since it is higly illegal to play DVDs while driving, as it provides a distraction to the driver, it is frowned upon. However, you can simply ground the parking brake sensor wire, and that should fix the issue of it not playing when driving. Please remember that it is most likely illegal, though.

Parking brake by pass for my VW Jetta

on your main screen, change your source to "A/V In".. you should get a black screen. Touch the upper right corner of the touch screen and it'll pull up a number menu. Type in "7253" then hit OK. from there, there's a choice that says "brake" hit the right arrow till it says off. Then you're off and runnin SON!
