Samsung LTN325W LCD TV Sound Static Problem

We inherited a Samsung LTN325W LCD TV, with only one problem. When you turn it on, it emits a constant static-y sound that only dissipates after an hour. We plugged headphones into the unit, and the static was NOT heard over the headphones. Question - is this an expensive fix? And what exactly would cause this? It's reminiscent of the 'snow' sound you would hear on older tvs. Thanks a bunch!

SOURCE: Samsung LN-T3253H LCD Sound Problems

I finally got mine fixed. All the 3253h have this problem. It took two service trips because Samsung messed up the service bulletin. I had a court date and everything for my local CC, but I finally got the issue resolved. There is a choke around a coil on the power supply board, when the tv is warm that is what is making the noise. The coil/choke was replaced with a new version and the sound is gone. Strange but this is not a component level fix. A new component gives you the same problem. Either way I'm happy now

When I try to turn on my Samsung LN-T4042H LCD HDTV it is now constantly clicking in a continuous loop and will not immediately turn on. It started out small- a few clicks yesterday morning. Today it...

There is a problem with the power supply in your TV. The regulator switch is causing teh clicking sound you hear. In order to fix it, you will need to replace the power supply. This is done by taking off the back cover of the TV, locating the power supply which is usually a yellow board that will have many high voltage capicators on it and replacing it with a new one.

Strange buzzing sound

Hi there! If it is an anoying sound I would personally have it checked if still under warranty. It may be a bad coil or transformer in the power supply. Enjoy what you paid for rather than sitting with a fault that might cost you extra later on. Best Wishes and Good Luck, JUS004

Same problem

Do you have to turn the TV off and then on again to get the sound prob to go away? Our sound problem happens 10 to 15 x per day depending on how long the TV is on.

Samsung tv

as far as it turning off on its own I would get a fan on it and see if that make a difference make sure that the fan is able to flow around the tv especially through the back of it, if this stops it from turning off then it is an overheating problem
