SOURCE: I need to know how to lite the pilot on my frymaster fryer

fry099_16_4.gifMake sure the thermostat is turned off. Units burners will light as soon a pilot in it is on. fry099_16_5.gif 3-2 Lighting the Pilot and Burner Figure 1 Figure 2 3. Push the knob in and light the pilot. Continue to hold the knob in for about 60 seconds after the flame appears on the pilot. Release the knob. The pilot should remain lit.

I suggest that you boil it out before using. This cleans the pot of any contaminants here is how to do this.
Boiling Out the frypot To ensure that the frypot is free of any contamination resulting from its manufacture, shipping, and handling during installation, the frypot must be boiled out before first use. Frymaster recommends boiling out the frypot each time the oil or shortening is changed. 1. Before lighting the burner, close the frypot drain valve and fill the frypot with a mixture of cold water and boil-out solution or detergent. Fill to the lower oil-level line. 2. Light the fryer in accordance with the lighting instructions in Section 3.1. 3. Simmer the solution for one hour.
I would attempt to paste the complete owners manual but it's just way to large. I do warranty for Frymaster is how I have access to it. Good luck

It was a gift and I have no instrutions

Wondering if you have the correct model number; could it be 85SUFF?

SUFF = Single Under Fryer Filter

The Specification Sheet may be here:

http://www.frymaster.com/docs/uploaded/fry/products/SpecSheets/Cascade%2

This however does not seem to correspond to available manuals listed here

Suggest you check the the manufactuer's information to verify the model number; should be a plate with the model and serial nunber etc..

Alternatively you could view some of the available manuals to see if one pertains to yours.

My frymaster just got boiled out. And when we put in the new oil and turned it back on the display said "O-HI" on the left side and "problem" on the right side. What could cause this...

without model number, I can only talk generically. This sounds like the high limit is open and needs to be reset. The partstown website I attached should take you to where you can find your manual and this should help you fix it.

Hi, Frymaster electric fryer. When unit is turned on the right display shows "prob" and it beeps

Hi,
There is a problem in the system. The problem is usually a sensor that is not reading correctly or not working right.
To troubleshoot this type of problem it is best to call the factory tech. support people and have them walk you through the troubleshooting. then they can also guide you to getting the proper replacement parts. For a problem that is showing up like that you will need OEM parts anyway.

Frymaster fryer over heats. Replaced thermostat. Runs for a couple of hours then overheats again.

Make sure the t'stat is located properly. If it is too low in the vat, it will not read correctly. At the bottom of the vat, it can be as much as 150 degrees cooler than the top or more. Especially if the the t stat is below the burner, it will not read correctly.
