Cannot receive!!! I have a Brother Intellifax 1270 and have not been able to receive. Tried sending from several sources and nothing. Checked all settings and nothing seems out of place. HELP!

Try to reset as below,
turn off, remove any power supply including remove the plug from the main socket, remove any data cable/phone cable as well.
Leave it for about 20 minute and turn it on again....
my fax shows that it's receiving a fax, but then it just shuts off and goes back to the regular screen. can't figure this one out either.
