When I hit the power button to turn it on, I can hear and click and it sounds like the TV is starting to power up, but there is no picture. I've found that the problem is sometimes solved by turning off the TV and then back on. The problem seems to be getting worse over the past few weeks and I'd have to disconnect the power and then plug it back in for the picture to show up. Now it won't do anything but click... the power light flashes a few times and the screen is blank. The pannel doesn't even light up, so no menu or anything. Once the TV is up it doesn't shut off or anything... just can't get it to power up anymore. TV was purchased in about 2010. If it needs a repair, how much does LG charge just for someone to come out and take a look? What kind of damage am I looking at if its bad capacitors or a power supply? If this a DIY repair, or should I let the pros handle it?

Hi, sounds like a power supply problem, most likely needs capacitors replaced, costs about £5 to do it yourself, and a fortune in the repair shop, easy enough if your handy or know someone who is,its worth a try,it'll be going in the bin anyway, cam

The lights indicate what the issue is. Kind of like your check engine light in your car tells you something is wrong with the engine.

Check to see if you get Va and Vs voltages from the power supply. There should be some wires running to the y-sus. A couple of those wires will be labeled va and vs. Are they present? There will be a sticker stuck to the panel somewhere telling you what they should be.
