To solve the issue of your LG player keeps freezing, you can follow some tips below:

1. Maybe your Blu-ray or DVD disc is damaged. In this case, you have to make a new copy of your disc. You can read on this post to find out some best Blu-ray copier software: https://www.leawo.org/entips/top-software-to-copy-and-backup-blu-ray.html?fixya=1409

2. Update the drive of your LG player.

3. Add RAM to your computer to make your computer runs more smooth.

Same problem here. BP620 freezes up randomly. I have to unplag and wait. Then it freezes up again as the film progresses. I did a factory rollback and disabled wifi. Things are working much better. Very Strange ! I will call LG tomorrow and will return this BlueRay player if they don't have a fix on this problem.

SOURCE: blu-ray freezing

My guess is that the player may need to be cleaned, there is a cleaning kit that can be purchased at an electronics specialty store or retailer such as Wal Mart, if the kit does not correct the problem then you should have the unit checked and repaired or replaced - the unit may be defective. Good luck to you!

SOURCE: blue ray quit recognizing non BR disc

The non-blu-ray laser lens needs cleaning.

Try not to use a blast of compressed air.

Radio Shack has a lens cleaner ($13). it is an audio CD with a row of brushes on it.
Read & follow the directions.

Hi, I have a Samsung Blue Ray home cinema system. When playing a Blue Ray disk it freezes after about an hour and a half. DVD's seem to play no problem. Have tried a cleaning disk but has not

Hi, if your sure it stops in the same time on any disc then i would assume there is something stopping the laser from moving forward.
If your confident opening it things may be obvious, KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM THE MAINS COMING IN.
The laser runs on two metal bars but all the gears are plastic up to the motor. The motor does'nt spin but turns in small movements as the laser reads in front, sometimes the teeth on the gears get clogged up. Let me know how you get on.

While watching a bluray the player will lose sound and video will sometimes freeze. any suggestions

This is an indication that the Laser Pickup Assembly is the problem. Put a none blue ray dvd movie and let it play, if it plays through without a hitch it proves it is the Laser Pickup that has the issue. You see the blue ray disc requires more precision and velocity to show the higher resolution.

Just installed a LG WH08LS20 in my computer, everytime I put in a Blu-Ray disc the computer freezes up. Any ideas?

The exact same thing happens to me. It reads Blu-Rays, burns DVDs fine, but when I put in a blank Blu Ray disc to burn, it freezes. As soon as I open the tray, the computer continues as normal as though nothing happened. I can't find anything on what is going on.
