No signal from wherever you get your signal from? That sounds like a test screen.

Unplug it from the mains for 2 minutes. If it doesn't come back on, you need a service call.

Disconnect for the mains supply for 5 minutes. Plus back in and switch on from the set, not the remote. Does it work, Yes, great, you fixed it.

No? Take it into an LG Service Centre. They have the thousands of dollars of test equipment that is needed.

If you try to fix it yourself, it will all end in tears.

Transistors don't or rarely blow (overheat) for no reason and when one or more does fail it is best to assume it has done so because of an overload condition which can be caused by the current demand of subsequent circuits being too high or the bias being incorrect.

With the modern trend of DC coupling the various stages of a circuit, the bias or quiescent current and circuit gain is set by the component choice and circuit design, the bias for all stages ultimately being controlled by the adjustment of the first stage.

Age and environment causes many components to change value, not the least those components that set the bias. When this happens the quiescent current of the final stages can increase and cause heating.

When replacing a transistor it is important to realise the gain of the replacement is probably different to the original and so certain component values will need to be adjusted so the original performance is restored to the circuit and the transistor parameters aren't exceeded, finishing by checking and adjusting the quiescent current.

The problem is most likely in the power supply unit. There are components in it that have fixed lifespan. These components can be tested if you have the proper equipment, Due to the age of the unit and the fact that they are obsolete due to the new LED designs, you wont be able to buy the whole power supply.
