My guess is that the player may need to be cleaned, there is a cleaning kit that can be purchased at an electronics specialty store or retailer such as Wal Mart, if the kit does not correct the problem then you should have the unit checked and repaired or replaced - the unit may be defective. Good luck to you!
The device does not play.
Ensure that a supported disc is loaded in the player label-side up.
Ensure that the disc's region code matches the player's region code.
Ensure that the disc's rating level does not exceed the player's.
Ensure that the disc is not damaged or too dirty. Clean the disc or try another disc.
Moisture may have condensed inside the player. Remove the disc and leave the player on for
1-2 hours and then try again
check disk for physical defect such as dirt, fingerprints and/or scratches, if dirty or smuged, clean, if scratched, replace disk, try different blu-ray disk to isolate problem whether its the disk or player. if player, buy lense cleaner for unit.
