My son has the sunpak 6600pg and I knocked it over and broke the swivel piece that snugs the camera onto the head. Any idea where I can purchase replacement parts? Thanks!

SOURCE: i need to order replacement

Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen. If you need parts other than the quick release; it may be better if you bought another tripod.

Sunpak 5800d tripod quick release plate. What is the correct position to mount it on the camera and the tripod? Also what is the push button on the plate and how is it used? Thank you

Go to this site and look at the plate mounted onto the tripod, do it that way, so the bubble level is on your side, and the second little push button opposite of you. The second button is there for larger cameras, many video cameras mostly, that have two holes on the bottom, to keep them from swiveling side to side on the plate. Also, makes it easy to ensure you put it on right in the dark, the extra button should go toward the lens. :o)

Flash

becRN,

take the camera to a good camera store and try any in your price range, the manual should state the camera's that are compatible. note that many new model flashes do not work on older camera's.
