I know this sometimes happens with these smart phones; one day they just up and quit.
You could try a fresh battery, and check your charging source.
Mine did something similar a couple days ago - I thought it was charging all night long, and in the morning when I went to turn it on... nothing. It ended up being my charging cable, it wasn't putting any juice to the phone.
I can tell you if your battery is an aftermarket one they tend to stop working after a short tim. Either they stop working in the charger or they wont make the correct connection in order to power up. the may be the problem even if its an HTC battery. I have two batteries right now that are fully charged but wont turn on the phone. this is not uncommon for this to happen with lithiem batteries.
