How do i upload music from my pc to gigabeat 40gb i pod

To transfer music files to your gigabeat, simply connect it to the PC via USB cable. A gigabeat window will pop up on your screen and will direct you to WMP 11 (make sure to click the "Complete" button, or it will not take you to WMP 11). Once you're in WMP 11, assemble the list of music you wish to transfer and press "Sync". The program will automatically begin transferring data to your gigabeat.

How can you listen to music

First, you will have to transfer the music to the mp3 player. You can transfer music and pictures to your player using Windows Media Player. YOu can download it from here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/windows-media-player

Once you have installed WMP, reboot and plug your mp3 player. By default, Windows Media Player automatically loads all the music and picture files stored in your My Music and My Pictures folders into the library. If you add new files to these folders, they will also be automatically added to the library. Then you will have to synchronize your mp3s player with WMP.
You can sync your music and pictures to your player using Windows Media Player. Simply connect your player to your computer using the supplied USB cable, set up sync, and you will be ready to sync your media library to the player. When you connect your player to the computer for the first time, Windows Media Player automatically selects the sync method (automatic or manual) that works best for your player. Automatic: If your player has sufficient storage space (at least 4GB of free space) and your entire media library can fit on your player, your entire media library will be automatically copied to your player as soon as you connect it to your computer. Manual: If your entire media library cannot fit on the player, then you will be prompted to manually select specific files or playlists that you want to transfer to your player.
Once you have transfer the music you want-unplug the player from the computer and that's it. If you have more doubts, you can download the manual from here:

Gigabeat S Series firmware restore

I just solved the same problem yesterday. When you download the firmware, save it to yur desktop and burn a CD because the gigabeat won't get it unless there is an actual CD in the rom.

Now, connect the gigabeat to the computer and let the firmware install. The unit will automatically restart twice. Here's the tricky part. You have to hold down the start button on the device until you see the start screen. (It took awhile for me to figure that out!)

After I saw the start screen, I saw that all my files were there! YAY
