DARK SCREEN WAS DROPPED ONCE AND CONTINUE TO WORK. THEN DROPPED AGIAN AND WORKED FOR ABOUT 1HR AND THEN STOP WORKING. GOT A DARK SCREEN W/ WHITE LINES DOWN THE MIDDLE W/ SOME SOUND AND NOISES.
Ahh this is why you should not drop it even once. some of the psp are very delicate so you should go to a mechanic and get it fixed pls. vote for me cloud_foe:)

If you just dropped it on carpeted floor there should not be a problem, unless you have a bad tablet. Try shutting the power down by pushing down the on and off button with the volume button at the same time. This may take a few moments but it should work, once it is shut off leave it off for awhile, the turn it back on and it may work for you.
the screen bias needs to be turned down-ehind the front cover which is behind the grille there is a small black square about 3 inch square 6 little knobs sticking out 3 say in small letters screen and 3 say focus, don't adjust the focus just the screen for the coresponding color that shows up when picture is dark.best way to do this is darken the room and put it on video input with no signal if lines are white slowly
adjust 1 color after the other counterclockwise untill
lines disappear if only 1 color shows then only adjust the knob with the matching color. this is a very fine adjustment, to much will make your auto focus stop working. check it after you are done
Well, how long ago was it in water, and how long was it in the water itself?
I dropped an MP3 one time in water, and it took a LONG time to dry out, even then.. the MP3 did NOT work properly ever agian. There was many glitches with it. You may be dry out of luck with this.
vertical output IC has loose solder joints.if you continue to let it operate this way it will etch a burn line across the face of the tube so discontinue use.
To get rid of the white lines look at the place where you turned the control. It should be called the screen control, turn down the screen control counterclockwise till the white lines just go away. If the picture is still dark, you will need to have this set serviced as there is a problem in the crt driver board, or the power supply board. good Luck
