Window 7 support with NEC p2000 dot metric printer

Don't know if this will work as I don't run anything from Microsoft. I sue a proper OS; Linux.

You need to know the IP on your print server being used by the XP computer. If it did not have one, you would follow the following:

I used the HP LaserJet IIP driver off the WinXP x64 iso. Worked for the SuperScript 1400 in Win 7 x64.

You can go to the Panasonic WEB support site to see if they have a Windows 7 printer driver for your model dot matrix printer.

I doubt you will find a printer driver for this very old printer which was around when Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 was the current version of Windows.
You may be able to get the working using a generic dot matrix/ASCII printer driver.

Only real choice is to use an older version of Windows with a supported driver or a different printer.

Many printer manufacturers are not making drivers for the older printers on Vista or 7. If you really need it you can load windows XP on VMware virtual machine and switch to XP to use your printer.

Use the HP LaserJet 4 Driver. That's what I did and the printer works fine.
