I have a NEC VT47
Sorry but there isn't one - that plastic button is (or it should be) in mesh with the plastic focus ring. To take it out you will have to dismantle the projector. If you're lucky this will be it, otherwise you will have to buy new parts directly from the dealer.

Hello
I have a NEC VT47
Hello,
first of all , did you reset the lamp counter? did you clean the dust out of the projector? it may be overheating as well. if the lamp looks ok, you may have just blown the ballast.More likely a faulty ballast. Check connections.if otherwise and you are not able to check it yourself
contact skilled personnel to handle to check the ballast..
Hope this helpout....

How do I focus the NEC VT47 projector? I have
I eventually fixed it; just a mechanical problem;I had to use strength to make the ring move again;

The arrow shows the direction of my movement; I had to use both hands; be very careful but also be aware that I had to put a lot of strength to manage to unlock it; good luck!

What is best way to test vt70lp lamp and ignitor
Hi.
This projector uses UHP metal halide lamp. This type of lamp cannot be tested.
Often, when the lamp starts failing , its light will get dimmer before failing completely.
Projectors usually display a lamp warning when lamp had passed a certain number of hours use.
Regarding the ignitor circuit, there is not part corresponding to this name.
If you are talking about the board connected to the lamp, that is not an igniter, but an high voltage board.
The board supplies high voltage of over 1Kwatts to the lamp.
This board is tested simply reading voltage input and high voltage out. For safety reasons the test must be done by a training technician.
If you instead are referring to projector start switch as igniter, that is tested reading continuity with a multimeter set on Ohms, and checking if the switch is opening and closing circuit.
Regards.

Light blinks
may be a input source problem -
lower the resolution of the laptop you are connectring to this with. 1024 x 768 is the max,
or possibly the bulb is at the end of its life
or the unit is overheating. check the vents to see if there is any dirt or dust. if so, you may need to try to clean out the inside.

NEC VT 440 Projector noise
The unit needs to be opened and have the fan checked. If it is out of warranty and you are capable you should be able to access the fan quite easily. It may be rubbing against something or it may have contaminants inside and needs to be replaced.
