Will not turn on. power light is orange
Many projectors will not turn on, or will turn on and immediately shut down, when the lamp needs replacing. How long has the projector been in use? Most lamps say they're good for up to 2000 hours, but in my experience they're only good for 1400 to 1500 hours. Also, check that the electrical cord is attached tight.
Nec lt380 changed lamp for new one still doesnt
If the unit is powering up but the lamp is not igniting, most likely there is a problem with the ballast.(Ballast is the circuit that starts and then maintains lamp current) When starting the projector, it is sometimes possible to look directly into the lens and see small "lightning" flashes. This is the high voltage ignition current trying to start an electrical arc in the lamp. You can also hear a "clicking" sound--same thing. If the ballast is defective, the unit must be repaired at a facility--send it in directly--not through a store. If the unit is totally dead(no lights at all), there usually is a main fuse located near the power cord(inside the unit) that blows. If you've never had tech training, don't attempt to open the unit--it is very easy to accidentally damage components unless you know exactly how to remove the top cover.

There is lamp cover at bottom of projector, unscrew it, take it off, you will see Lamp inside that also fixed with screw, unscrew it and take it out, place new lamp and put thing in same way.
NEC NP310 projector, can I replace the fan?
Your statement indicates'there is a fan issue'.
It may just require cleaning but may need replacing. Nothing to do with the lamp, unless it has overheated and also needs replacing.
