Flashing green button, won't reset or turn on

Tv shut off, green light blinking, won't reset. read about a similar problem from someone else troubleshooting. told to replace the 4 caps that sometimes bulge. question is, is how do we find and replace the 'caps'? where are they located on the tv??? would be greatly appreciated, don't want the $300 minimum bill for taking it to the repairman.

I have to wait until the green light no longer blinks. It is like the TV is initializing, but it will not turn on until the light stops. I have done nothing to fix it except to hit the reset button which does nothing.

Got up this morning to find that my LED was blinking on my Mits WS55513. Seems the common fix is to replace the capacitors. Can anyone send instructions, and maybe a source for the replacement parts? Please e-mail me.

The power light keeps flashing and the t.v. wont turn on. I reset the t.v. and still nothing but a flashing green light. please e-mail me at [email protected] if anyone can help me fix this on my own

    thanks

I can't believe a company like Mitsubishi won't do anything to help fix this problem. If this had been a car, they would have had a recall and fixed them all. The way the prices keep dropping on HD TV's, it's not really worth it to get mine fixed. Bad thing is I've hardly even used this tv......

I held menu and device for about 10-15 seconds on my WS-55515 and the blinking went away and my tv works just fine after that

Just had the tv repair man come look at it and he replaced the dm board to see if it would fix it and it still wouldn't work. After checking some voltages he is suspecting the E2P PCB. Charging for a cleaning, basic alignment, and install on the EEprom. $225 is the cleaning and alignment necessary or is that part of having the service. never really asked if i wanted it or not just included it?

You have to replace the faulty capacitors on the DM Board.. Even if you have some experience in electronics a service manual should prove very handy.. Its got full schematics and how to guides so that if you just have minimum knowledge about using a multimeter you can fix it yourself..

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

Hi,
If the led light flashes green continuously, the fault came from the DM power supply. The faulty parts there are the electrolytic capacitors. Let me know if your handy with electronics and I will assist you to fix it yourself.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

MIT WD-62525 DLP TV blinking green light on front won't stop

Hi!

It means your TV needs to reset. Although you have reset it previously, now again reset the TV as per procedure given below:

Please press the SYSTEM RESET button on the front panel with a pointed item such as the point of a ball point pen or end tip of a paperclip.

The TV will turn off and the green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. After the green LED stops flashing, turn on the TV again. The changes you made while the TV was most recently on, before you used the SYSTEM RESET button, may be lost; the changes you made previously, however, are not lost. Only those changes since the last power on may be lost when the system reset button is pressed. All other settings are retained.

TV Reset Menu

Read on-screen warnings before proceeding, as some user data or settings may be erased.

1. Press TV MENU and then 1, 2, 3 to see the RESET SERVICE MENU to reset the TV.

2. Select Reset System Defaults (CAUTION: All settings, except V-Chip, will be reset to the original factory defaults.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
