That's a spectacularly old laptop, fyi. The video card manufacturer went out of business a decade ago.

This is a very old laptop, when new it was installed with Windows 98.
Not sure if it had a PCMCIA slot on the laptop, but it can be easily identified if you look on the laptop. If it has PCMCIA slots, most likely it would be located on the LHS or RHS of the laptop. The PCMCIA could be a single slot or a double slot and it would be 55mm wide ie 2 3/4 inches wide with an eject button for a single slot and two eject buttons for a double slot.

You need to re-enable it. Hold Fn and hit the F5 or whatever key is appropriately assigned to the touchpad. This should enable it for you.
