go to http://www.filehippo.com and download CCleaner and Malewarebyte Anti Malware software and run both of those every week and it should speed up the computer. If those steps don't work then try to remove programs, and remove any software that has toolbar written on it. for example: Yahoo! Toolbar. you want to remove all toolbar software installed on the system. That should fix the issue.

Download a program called SpeedFan, which will allow you to adjust fan speed (it's free, too!)

Some of the letters stop working due to dust that stuck between the pad and board..Or due to degradation.

So you can try cleaning the keyboard with vacuum cleaner and clean properly between the keys.

backup your data first in any external source. insert bootable cd of xp and boot from it. follow the instruction and finish the installation after that install required drivers and apps. in starting you need to select boot from cd., can be select-able from bios and also by pressing f12.

If the laptop was opened up, (ALL power removed -> AC adapter and battery; PLUS -> anti-static precautions taken!), and the laptop has a power on switch, (under the power on button), that plugs into the motherboard; you can unplug the switch, and touch the motherboard contacts to try to turn the laptop on. (Sorry about the run-on sentence) Jump a wire or similar, across the contacts, and see if the laptop turns on. Could try to be more specific, and detailed, if you had listed more info about the Fujitsu Lifebook. Such as it's Series number and Model Number. Example: Fujitsu Lifebook E8210.
