Are you certain you put the wires back on the amp the exact way they came off. I am not familiar with this amp but most amps if you look at the terminals where the speakers hook up there will be a plus and a minus. And generally there are four terminals. hence stereo plus and minus left and right. Some even have eight for, four channels. Since the amp is on, not getting hot and you tried two different audio inputs I would suspect speaker wiring or maybe the stuff you put in your trunk bumped a switch on the amplifier. I know this is not the exact answer you are probaly looking for but it is at least a place to start

Well yes your speaker is damaged, the cone actually has a tear, so audio that has low base or high pitch will cause distoration..
Simply remove it, take it with you and buy a similar one.. Same size, same watts, same ohms and just put the new one in.
speakers are standered only brand names are different..
BTW if you feel that you dont want to purchase a new one, simply stick the tear with duct tape, or you can hot glue it together.. If its plasctic, plastic weld works good(ask for it at a hardware)..

Some older Pioneer radios require you to connect the Subwoofer RCA to the rear output on the back of the radio and then you have to turn on the subwoofer in the menu on the radio. What model Pioneer radio is it? Also, make sure that the RCA plugged into the amp is on the input side, not the output side.

TAKE YOU IPOD OR SOME KIND AUDIO SOURCE PLUG IT IN THE AMP INPUT SEE IF YOU HAVE SOUND IF NOT AMP BAD IF YOU DO RADIO OR WIRES FROM RADIO BAD
SOURCE: Hello, I have an Sony
the buzzing sound is a sign that your transformer might be bad and is throwing out what 'we' call '60 cycle hum '. the cause of this could be a bad resistor or a bad diode. either way it is something that a skilled stereo electrician will need to fix, as parts will need to be removed from the circuit board and re-installed. the cost for this repair ( depending on if it is a transformer or a diode or just a resistor ) will be between 55 and 85 dollars depending on what the shop rate is in your area.
