Connect cablebox/dvr to sony bravia

try yellow cable into the green y input. http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3008/~/unable-to-locate-a-yellow-video-input-on-the-tv The problem is that av output is going into component in If the green port doesn't work I read on another forum that you may be able to use a dvd recorder unit to take the av in and then it can re transmit the video to an output as component out on some dvd recorders.

TV sound only thru front and sub woofer speakers only

this might be happening because the audio format for surround is not supported by the channel or affiliate of the channel that you are viewing does this happen on all tv channels or is it on just a few? if all sound while playing a dvd is proper and in working order than there must be an issue with the sound and or format of sound from the tv source. maybe more information would help me decipher this

anyways hope it helps

Push power protector

If it really says, "Push power protector", there should be a reference to it in your owner's manual. Check there first.

I want to control my Sony DAV-HDX576WF with my Comcast remote control and need the remote control code.

Reposting from multiple sources. It seems like most (maybe all) Sony HTIB do not work with the Comcast Custom Remote. I've found a work around that fixes the volume control and power button though. Hope it helps you all. I have a DAVHDX275 but I think this will work for most Sony HTIB systems. What you need to do is steal some codes from a like product and then hardcode in the changes you need to the comcast remote. Set your AUX to 21232 (a sony code for TVicon1.png/VCRs).Then do the following:1. While still on AUX, press and hold SETUP again until the remote blinks twice2. Type 9943. Press and release SETUP4. Type 329755. Press and release VOL+The remote should blink twice. That should reprogram the VOL+ to work with your Sony HT device. For each of the following function codes, follow the same steps and use the codes listed below:Vol+ = 32975Vol- = 31951Power = 32719Mute = 33743Good luck. Let me know if it works. Also, to program your remote to function volume controls while in CBL or TV mode without switching between modes to change the volume, see below. Source http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8831Quote:Locking Volume Control To TV or AUX Mode: 1. Press and hold SETUP until the Red light flashes twice, then release SETUP. 2. Enter 9 - 9 - 3 (Red light will flash twice). 3. Press and release either TV or AUX (Red light for selected device will flash twice).
