Erm, although the slot is labelled AGP1 (HEY HP Accelerated GRAPHICS Port 1 ???), it is not for a graphics card. It is intended for an enhanced USB card that adds additional USB ports as well as 12volt and 24volt outputs. The RP5000 was designed to be a POS (point of sale) unit and the additional ports were for devices such as barcode readers, handscanners and card readers to be plugged into.
Did you check in the bios if your USB ports are configured as USB 2? That could fix it. If not possible, try uninstalling the USB Root Hub devices in the device manager, that can fix some USB problems.
1.) Check your CMOS/Bios settings to see if any USB ports are disabled.
2.) If not, check to see that USB ports show in your operating system's device manager or settings. Enable them if they are disabled. Otherwise, you may need to reinstall the drivers that came with your model of notebook computer.
If using Windows XP, for example, go to Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus Controllers. If the latter is not present and you have USB enabled in CMOS/Bios, you will need to install the drivers. If "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" is present, look within to see if they are all enabled and working properly.
If not, re-install the drivers.
3.) If the above does not work, you may have bad USB ports that will require service by an authorized repair service for your notebook computer.
update your BIOS. there might be new fix for your BIOS regarding USB...go to your manufacturers web site and download the BIOS update and install flash it to your BIOS
i) try to connect pendrive to the usb ports present at backside of ur computer tower instead of usb ports present at the front panel of ur computer...............
ii) sometimes usb ports present at the front panel ofur computer might have loosen connections............
hello there. It sounds as if your motherboard (bios) is not configured correctly, or your windows drivers somehow got corrupted. check in your MoBo's manual to see how to access it's bios options. and make sure that your onboard usb options are enabled.
Try going into the BIOS and see if the USB Ports are enabled. I don't know what type of system you have. When you turn on the pc it will prompt 'F1 to enter setup' or it might be F10. Do you have a USB mouse or keyboard? Try those in different ports.
