I need a light bulb for the BL5260d

The bulb can be replaced. Your Bernina dealer will have what you need. The owner's manual should have instructions on how to replace it.

You can usually find a manual to your model on-line or through your local dealer/repair man. Most commonly the light bulb is under a cover held on by a screw at the front of the machine. I took the bulb with me to the store to find the exact replacement if you don't have a manual that tells you what the replacement is.

My best bet is to look in the yellow pages in your telephone catalog for a authorized Brother dealer, phone the dealer and ask him/her to send you the bulbs you need.

Ask your local Janome Dealer.....take the old one out as a sample, it is a bayonet fitting .....undoes anticlockwise

The machine should have came with a light bulb tool, to help you get it out.
Very very hard to do that with out the tool.
You can get it at your local bernina dealer, or they should change it for free.
Does that machine have a power switch on the back top of the machine, there is a good chance that if it does it is bad. They go bad all the time. Some dont have the switch.

There is a code that needs to be entered in the machine before it will operate correctly. The code may be in the instruction book, there is also a default code that Pfaff dealers can give you. I would call a local dealer and ask. I am not a Pfaff dealer so I dont know the code.

There is a bulb removal tool for just this job, I would not be without it. You should be able to get one form your local dealer. Another trick I have used is get an old piece of rubber garden hose cut it to about 1-11/2 inches press firmly against bulb and twist.
