After replacing the lamp in an XD480U projector, what are the 2 buttons needed when pushing the power button, to reset the Interval of lamp replacement time? The buttons to choose from are: Auto position (up arrow), Computer (left arrow), Keystone (enter), Video (right arrow) Menu, and down arrow.

    Found the solution on another website. It's the left & right arrow buttons.

To reset the lamp operation time on a Mitsbishi XD480U:

Plug in the power cord, turn on the lamp, and press the Left Arrow button, Right Arrow button, and POWER buttons on the control panel ALL AT THE SAME TIME, holding them all down for about three seconds.

Notes:
•Unless these three buttons are pressed at the same time, the lamp operation time isn't reset.
• Make sure that the STATUS indicator is lit twice and the lamp operation time is reset successfully.
• The projector doesn't turn on if the lamp cover isn't attached securely.
• Be sure to reset the lamp operation time whenever you replace the lamp.
• Do not reset the lamp operation time unless you replace the lamp.

My projector has only just over 200 hours and is now showing a replace lamp message. The hours have also been reset???

The lamp hours might have not been properly reset.

1. Press the "POWER" button so that the projector projects the picture on the wall (projection screen)
2. Press the "MENU" button to show the "MAIN MENU"
Use buttons "F" or "G" and select "OPTION"
3. Confirm this by pressing "ENTER" so that "OPTION" is shown
Using buttons "5 / 6", select "LAMP RUNTIME" (lamp operation counter)
4. Select and press the "ENTER" button for at least 3 seconds
5. The "LAMP RUNTIME" (lamp operation counter) will change to "TIME RESET[POWER OFF]"
6. Turn the device off by pressing "POWER" and unplug the power cord.

Re set timer?

hi,
To reset the lamp hour timer do the following,
1. Power on the projector
2. press the menu button
3. Select option
4. in the option menu select Lamp time
5 press and hold the reset button on the remote or Right arrow button on the projector for 3 seconds
the lamp reset diagonal box will appear
6 using the up arrow button select reset.

Also try to reset the filter time using the same procedure


lamp reset is recommended only after the lamp replacement.

you'll have to replace the ballast. but if there are no leds lit, you might have to replace the power supply.
