Our DTR-4.9 reciever drops HDMI signal from Samsung Blu-Ray

Sometimes when we switch our Intergra DTR-4.9 from cable to DVD (Samsung blu-ray) the Intergra and Samsung blu-ray loses signal between them. Happens when trying to watch Netflix movies on the blu-ray. Do you know of any issues with the Integra DTR-4.9 HDMI boards? Sometimes turning on and off the two devices in different sequences will re-establish the signal.

SOURCE: the reciver dosnt get a signal from the hdmi

HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. omg. maybe there is help. will get audio but no video from DPS dvd player and PS3. no onscreen menu either. changed hdmi cord. seems to be problem with reciever. DVD works fine when changing to component cables instead of the HDMI. sometimes plugging and unplugging the HDMI cable gets the PS3 working. Don't quite understand scrap605's suggestion. but that doesn't solve this prob.

How do I get my Samsung Blu-ray player to work on my TV it says unuseable signal

sounds like your blu-ray is outputting a higher signal then your tv can handle. for instince your playing is outputting in 1080p but your tv is only 720p that or your hdmi cable is not makeing a good connection. you can get a hdmi cable on ebay for $0.99 with free shipping.

Can I use a Samsung 3D blu ray player with a 3D Sharp TV

In theory it should work but there are some know compatibility problems with HDMI connections mainly on older equipment so it is usualy better to use equipment from the same manufacturer. Key points are to make sure you have the latest firmware update installed in your blu-ray player (& TV if you have the option to do it.). Second issue is to make sure you use a suitable HDMI cable. It must be at least a "High Speed" HDMI cable. Sometimes labeled HDMI 1.3 or 1.4. I use 1.4 version cables purchased online from Cables UK . Dont spend a fortune on expensive cables from currys/comet etc. they are a massive con.(digital signals dont need expensive cables).

My samsung bd-p1500 blu-ray player won't play blu-ray discs on regular ones... was having all sorts of troubles with it finally updated the firmware and now it won't play any blu-ray discs

I'm having the same problem. had my Blu-ray and my cable box plugged into my reciever. Blu-ray kept cutting out and not finding a signal while watching my Rome DVDs. I swapped HDMI cables by just switch which cable went out of my blu-ray ( I didn't change what ports they were plugged into on the reciever. That cleared up that problem. I'd assume it was a faulty HDMI cable except that it works fine on the cable box. Anyways, we were watching Iron Man on Blue-Ray and it starts to skip about 2 thirds through the movie. Same as you I updated the firmware, disabled BC-Live, No luck Don't know if the problem is hte Bluray player , the reciever or what. Everything is up to date so I don't get it at all.

Blu-ray player won't play through hdmi with yamaha reciever

The problem is some intermediate connections do not allow the HDCP signal to reach the telivison. Electronic HDMI switches have this issue. I have one HDMI port on my Telivision and I have a Blu-ray player & HD satellite reciever. I had purchased a two in one electronic switch and found that the satellite reciever signal would make it to the tv and was working but the blu-ray player was not. I had to by a passive push button switch and it allows the HDCP signal thru. The funny thing is the electronic switch was supposed to be HDCP compliant and it still did not work.

I have bouight a samsung home theatre system that comes complete wiht a DVd player - i also have a samsung blu ray player - naturally ithought they would be compatible!! how wrong i was!! the connections...

You have several ways to do this. You can hdmi cables from the two units and plug them into your tv if it supports hdmi and run the audio out portion on the back of the tv and hook that into one of the audion inputs on the surround unit. Or you run audio directly out of the bluray using rca, digital coax, or digital optical cable. Turn the surround reciever to the corresponding input that you choose to use.
