I hv sansa clip 1gb - in which i have some songs i.e aprox.850mb and that cannot be seen in my pc in sansa clip as a drive g.how to delete songs and add songs , is there any driver of software or...

1. First, check your device setting up on MTP or MSC? Turn on device, go to "settings" , press down or up to find "USB Mode", you can see the check mark at MTP (auto detect) or MSC mode. Change to another usb mode.
2. You have 2 ways to delete songs:
2.1. Delete songs by device: play songs, press down (sub menu) until you meet "delete song", select it and yes
If you delete all items in device: Settings, Format, and yes
2.2. Delete songs by computer: plug device to computer, double click on device icon, Music folder, and delete songs you want. If you don't see songs in there, unplug the device from pc, and then change USB mode, and plug device to pc to delete.
Good luck

MTP or MSC mode

If you use a micro SD card, put it in MSC mode, if not, keep it on the default MTP mode.

Not enough space for music db. Please free 6 MB.

If you have formatted there is no music on the player. You will have to re-sync any the music. Set the USB mode to MTP, then Use Windows Media Player 10 or higher to sync player.

My Coby MP-705 Won't Delete Songs

I had the same problem - VERY frustrating. Just found the answer, and am very happy to share it!

1. In setting/USB mode, select MSC mode.
2. Plug in Coby to USB
3. Open My Computer. Look for the Coby as a REMOVABLE DISK, not the Coby.
Files will be there for Viewing and Deleting! (On XP, at least).
4. Make a backup of MTP.BIN and WMPInfo.xml, which I think is the operating sytem?

I got the clue from here:

Paupaul
Well, turn on you mp3 player, go on setting/USB mode and select MSC mode.

Then plug it on your computer and check in MICIN.DIR folder. You must find them.

It wasn't exactly what I saw, but once I looked, it was all there. Perfect!

Deleting demo songs

For Windows XPTM users, you are connecting the device in MTP mode to the computer by default. You will need to set the device to MSC mode, so go to the device menu\Settings\Advanced\Protocol = > Press Play/Pause key to select MSC mode which will appear as such on the screen. Reconnect the device to the computer, and you can now see those files and delete them.
DO NOT forget to set the device back to MTP mode when finished, so go to device menu\Setting\Advanced = > Select MTP mode.

I can't remove songs with WMP

You have to first change the USB mode on the player to MTP (as opposed to MSC). Forget using the Windows Media Player (yeah, I know). Go to Explorer, go to drive E or whatever your Sansa is listed as....open it and it will show different types of folders. Go to MUSIC folder. The songs are listed and you can delete, e.g. delete mp3 and keep WMA of the same song, or whatever else you want to delete.

Can't delete songs from the e200

I had this same problem with my Sansa e280, I did some research and found that MTP mode is used when syncing with Windows Media Player.  So if you plugged in your player under MTP and simply tried to drag and drop using Windows Explorer the player won't recognize.  I have heard that you should be able to view them on the Sync tab in WMP but I personally have not tried.

The way I got rid of the songs was by going into my Sansa Settings and changing the USB mode to MSC, opening the Player by going to My Computer, then (if using Windows XP) click on Tools > Folder Options.  Click on the View tab and Select "Show Hidden Files and Folders".  Click "OK" Then Right click on the MUSIC Folder and Select "Properties"  Uncheck "Read Only" and "Hidden".  Unplug your Player and it will restart.  Viola, no more ghosted songs.
