SOURCE: Passing HDMI signal fro cable box to yamaha RXV463 to Samsung HDT

It sounds like a resolution problem to me. Try adjusting the video settings on your set. It may need you to switch modes as some TV's do this (Why I dont know). I have found that even sometimes its the cable service to blame.

SOURCE: rx-v1900 hdmi hdtv problem

On most modern receivers you must select which signal type you want it to process.

for example on my Denon, I have to go into the on screen menu and select the input I want ie: video 1.Then tell it which signal I want it to use ie: s-video, component or HDMI input for video and then which input corresponds to the audio signal for that component ie: analog, digital, optical or hdmi.

Its complicated and a pain in the ****

Hopefully that helps call Yamaha they will usually walk you through the process while on the phone.

SOURCE: the picture on my TV

Hello Susan hi, you have a situation where the problem is the TV, OR the cable signal, to isolate, try using another TV, if the other TV produces the same result, meaning flicker are present, then you have the cable company to blame. If the flicker disappears on the other TV, then you have the part problematic. This will solve half the problem. finding the problem.

RCA HD52LP: Composite video inputs don't work

RCA Authorized service tech looked at it. He determined that the DM Module need to be replaced. The part alone costs $550 + labor. Since the HDMI and component video inputs seem to work, he suggested buying a VCR DVD combo with HDMI output which would be far less than repairing the tv itself. I'n researching the possibility of purchasing the part myself.

HDMi ( no signal, not supported) doesn't work with Dmr-Ez47v

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

RCA 46" LCD TV - HDMI Stopped working overnight

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but can I assume you have already checked your Source Selection just incase someone hit a different button on shutdown ?
Sometimes when I just set the remote down can sometimes change a setting on the TV, I thought maybe the same may have happened to you too.
