Passing HDMI signal fro cable box to yamaha RXV463 to Samsung HDT

Im subscribe to Time Warner Cable and have the HiDef cable box which i have been streaming TV content to my Samsung 42" TV.

I recieved an Yamaha RX-V463 digital home theatre for my birthday.

I'm pluging my Cable box to my home theatre through HDMI and then my Home theatre to my TV via HDMI - very simple.

However, the TV signal keeps flicking on and off like it can't pass through the signal - i returned the Ymaha device and put on a new one and i get the same proble.

What should i be looking to do to get the signal to pass through?

I'm new to this and it seems very basic yet won't work and of course the manual is completely useless.

Any help would be appreceatted.

It sounds like a resolution problem to me. Try adjusting the video settings on your set. It may need you to switch modes as some TV's do this (Why I dont know). I have found that even sometimes its the cable service to blame.

I can't get audio to work on my Samsung UN40HU6950F UHD TV HDMI 1 input using the Time Warner Cable Cisco 4742HDC cable box.

if all 4 inputs work with another input source(i.e. your Motorola box) it indicates the issue is with the TWC input source. Also check your HDMI cable to be sure it is in good condition & properly plugged in on both ends.

It says no signal... my time warner cable box works but my t.v still says no signal????!!!!

Make sure you have your TV programed for the input coming from the cable box. Go into menu--input and select your input type,(rca, hdmi etc)

Intermittant Audio with Yamaha RX-V465 only from cable box

I have the same receiver... You can try pressing the Option button and choosing Signal Info to see what audio signal the receiver sees and if that changes over time. Maybe the cable box is not outputting according to specifications... TV can live with that, but receiver maybe can't.
You can also try to connect the cable box via SPDIF cable (optical or coax) to see if it helps or not.

Connection problem with HDMI cables on Denon AVR-589

Hello,
I want to clairify you install, you sat you have I an HDMI cable running from the Time Warner Cable box to the AVR-589, going in to the TV/CBL input. From the Denon AVR-589, I have an HDMI cable running from the output to my Toshiba RV525U television.

Check the connection at the TV, if as you indicated above you have an HDMI cable from the HDMI out from the Denon to an HDMI output on the TV, if this is the case you need to have that HDMI cable plugged into an input on the TV not an output

The tv is fine.We see so many problems with cable provided signal that it isn't funny. It usually stems from bad cable boxes and low signal coming into the house.

Samsung Rear Projection DLP HDMI Captions

The captions are turned on in the cable box itself. If you have a Motorola cable box, turn it off then hit the menu button for the cable box. You will then see where you can turn off the closed captioning. Anymore questions email me [email protected]

This TV won't support 1080!

Low or poor signal from the cable company. Try another signal source such as a DVD play.
