There are 2 sets of wires on the cutting grid that are perpendicular to each other. Electrical current passing through the wires creates heat that melts the ice. The first set cuts one direction, then the ice strips drop onto the second set that cuts the strips into cubes. Remove the cutter grid and check if the wires are broken. If they are, electrical current can't pass through the wires, so no heat. Restringing kits are available to fix this. If the wires aren't broken, you'll need a voltmeter to see if current is reaching the wires. If it isn't, then the transformer has likely failed.

Ice maker all of a sudden stopped working.

Remove the ice bucket and look for ice hung in the fingers. Use a hair dryer to melt a jammed ice cube. Keep at it till the fingers move free and advance to the next harvest cycle. If the ice mold is empty replace the water valve. If the ice mold is full replace the ice maker.

Ice maker jammed. Ejector fingers in incorrect position.

Is the position off - or the icetray heater failed?
Just before ejection - there is a heater element that warms the ice for easy discharge.

Check that the heater is working.

Reply with the model # of the fridge for more exact help.

Thanks!!

Ice cubes are ejected in a slab and has to be broken up in the bin. Is there an adjustment to stop the cycle before it forms a slab?

YES, THERE IS EITHER A FLAPPER THAT HAS A SCREW IN IT THAT RESTS AGAINST THE EVAPORATOR OR THERE IS A ROD THAT HAS AN ADJUSTMENT. lOOK UNDER THE FLAP FOR ONE OR THE OTHER.

Ice maker over fills the ice cube tray over flowing into the cube collection bucket, making all the cubes one big clump

most likely the i/m needs replaced. what happens is the coating inside the mold is peeling off and causing the cubes to stick and then melt the cubes instead of releasing them. when this happens it will cause the unit to overfill the next cycle and leak into the bucket.

Cubes won't dump into the storage bin

In photo below you can see the heating element that comes on moments before the ice maker drops the ice. If not working then the icemaker will struggle to unload. You need to unplug the refrigerator and then unpluge the ice maker and remove it to test these parts. Test with a multi meter or ohm meter. Test the 2 connections next to the number #26. Hope this helps, Sea Breeze

Viking under counter ice maker stopped making ice... ugh.

This unit senses the "freeze plate" temperature to decide when to go into "harvest". Either the the temperature sensor (most likely called an evaporator thermsitor) is lying to the control or the plate is not getting cold enough due to a sealed system issue (usually a bad hot gas valve). If you carefully loosen the front grill (staying clear of the wires going to/from the ON/OFF/CLEAN switch) you can see the hot gas valve near the center in the bottom of the mechanical area. If the copper tube coming out of the bottom of the valve is cold during the freezing cycle...it is bad. If not, I would try the thermistor first. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, you should contact a servicer to diagnose the unit for you. Good-Luck.

Under counter ice maker water pickup problem

Most likely your plastic curtain is not keeping the water in the sump area. ( I'm assuming it makes round cubes)? Look under the sump for any dripping if its a pretty steady drip replace your water curtain and the holder that's with it.

If you have a cutting grid type ice machine this is all together different and I need to tell you separately about that.
