I would need to know what kind of camera and computer to give specific advice, but in general if you hook the camera to the USB on the computer it will ask you if you want to import the pictures and video.
The camera does not need a driver as the driver is part of the Operating System for both Windows and MAC, the computer should recognise it as a USB storage device unless you are runnin a very old operating system windows 98 in which case there is a storage driver here

you can open up my computer, go to removable disk, open dcim, 100Olymp, and then copy and paste pics to your computer but it is easier to use the olympus master 2 program

not all aficio 450 have a printer controler on them but if it does there will be a port either parralel or cat 5 network on the left and side rear behind the collator if it as one
well u can´t do a thing.... because when that happen it´s the mainboard that needs to be replaced, just sent it to a repair centre, if it´s under warranty they will fix it for free, cause it´s normal to happen with that kind of cameras.
You should get the original Pentax cable- the Pentax I-USB7 USB Cable for the Optio WPi, WP & S55 Digital Cameras. It's compatible with the 450 as well.
