Possible that the water level controller is faulty and so needs to be checked as the pressure switch if defective will not work and so the inlet valve will not be cut off.

SOURCE: amana top load washer fills with water and will

Hi...

You need to check this

  • Check the drain hose, it should be at least as high as the top of the wash tub, about 38 inches.
  • The drain hose must sit loosely in the house drain. Do not seal the air gap around the drain hose or a siphon will occur.
  • Check the drain control lever
  • Test the drain control coils
  • Check the cam bar
Good luck !!!

SOURCE: My washer keeps filling with water even after the

The washer valve may be sticking if it allows water at the wrong time. The other part is a float (like in your toilet tank). Run a load of towels with a full load of water and 1/2 cup of vinegar no soap the first time normal the second time. The float should get a cleaning, withe the float eliminated (mechenicly) Test to see if it still over flows, If you have to get the valve replaced make sure there are screens with the washers so nothing else will get stuck again.

SOURCE: my top load ge machine does not spin. it fills

Sounds to me like the belt has either came off or has broken. You can remove the front lower panel to see if the belt is still intact. To remove, put a hand on each side of the panel toward the top. Pull toward you, the top of the panel will un-clip and pull out. Then just pick up on the panel and set aside. Now look for the belt. Pull on it and make sure it's tight. If not you will need to reinstall it of if broken, replace. Good luck.

Water will not stop filling machine

Your fill switch is bad and needs to be replaced. To test, set the water level to it's lowest setting. Let the machine fill. If the water fills the tub 3/4 of the way, your switch is indeed bad.

Look around at outlets that are close by and make sure you didn't trip one of your GFCI breakers or plug in something to the same outlet and make sure you have power at the outlet where the washer is plugged into.

Turn off the water to the washer, unscrew the hoses ( do one completely before moving to the other)Once you unscrew the first hose you will see a small filter screen inside the opening on the washer,Remove the screen and clean it, replace it and reattach the hose,Now go to the other hose and do the same thing, once both are done and hooked back up, turn the waterback on and everything should work as normal.

I bought a top load washing machine model number WF T7239 UL on 05Nov2010. Water sensor does not seem to work. Water just keeps filling up the drum and starts overflowing once filled.

Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.

Water coming from bottom of machine

If this only happens when the machine is filling the hose leading to the top of the tub may be leaking. Before it fills this hose is disconnected from the water supply by a closed solenoid valve. There are two valves which feed into a common hose that comes up to the top of the tub where the water runs into the tub. The leak does not happen after the tub fills because all the water leaks out and no new water runs in. These hoses are usually very small and very inexpensive and held on with clamps. They can usually be replaced by removing a small panel near the hose attachment location.
