My mc9090-g doesn't scan any barcodes

The application, can be configured to read the barcode. There is an application on the scanner it will tell you what the barcode actually is. either Scanwedge or Scan both should be in the Sample applications, or from the desktop click on "Olt"

This is application dependant. The Motorola Datawedge does have this function and so does some diagnostic software, but each application would need to have the functionality written for it.

Install a barcode font on a scanner? Are you trying to generate barcode using the data got from scanner?

If you want to Automatically send scan to the host then you need to go the Configuration Manager. Go to Scanner, Common, and then you will see Auto Send Scan. Change to 'Yes'. Then upload the termconfig by going to Wavelink Prod. Config and click on Application & Config.

The scanner engine/output can be used only by one application. If a second application is trying to access the scanner, while in use. The error message will come.
Please check if there are more applications running in background. Usual MC9090 applications with scanner drivers are Telnet, Datawedge, Rapid Deployment and custom software. Exit one of the application or try to exit all of them. Start your scanning application again, no error should appear now.

if you are looking to turn on your barcode scanner, i would recommend you download datawedge. It is the most common scanning application that Motorola recommends. If you have an issue finding this you can contact us at www.datexcorp.com and we can send you link

It can read all standard symbologies apart from PDF symbologies unless it is equipped with an imager scan engine.

You may need to replace the scan engine - I can help you out with this (or any other issues you may be having).
