My lap top is too slow

Have you cleaned it lately? Your registry might be full. Try free windows registry repair. It cleans the registry and your pc runns faster and smoother. You may have to run it 2 to 3 times at first and then at least once a week to keep it clean.

Do a complete virus check and see if there are any applications running. Go to www.download.com type malwarebytes anti-malware and run the program [ full scan ] when definitions have been updated.

To fix this problem go to http://www.adobe.com and download the newest flash player. Install flash player and this should fix your problem. The other issue that you could resolve with this is get a faster web browser by installing Google Chrome at http://www.google.com/chrome/. This would make your browsing time faster and run smoother.

1. Keep it cool. Despite its name, you lap is not the best place to put a laptop. Laptops generate a lot of heat, which can have a severe effect on your laptop's performance. Try not to use it in a hot room. Never set it on a bed, pillow, upholstery or anything else that is soft. Instead, place your laptop on a hard surface like a table. If you like using your laptop in bed or on the couch, try putting a book or a thick magazine in your lap and then setting the laptop on top of that. Every ten minutes or so, turn the book over so the surface never gets too hot. This will absorb the heat.
   
2. Step2Shut down unneeded programs before using power-hungry software like games or large spreadsheets. The more programs you have running at the same time, the worse your computer's performance will be. Most computers have a lot of unneeded programs running in the background from the moment you boot up your computer. Shut them down manually using Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or download a freeware application that will shut them down for you. If you have Wndows Vista, you can also access the start up configuration by selecting "Run" from the accessories menu, then typing "msconfig" in the box

hi you need to press the FN and F8,9 or 10 repetedly to restore it to default settings.

First u check the laptop Display
if it has display, thn it might be problem ur windows
instead of it.
if computer does not give display thn u check the power adopter of ur laptop.
after all gonig through these steps.even u find all these above steps perfect.
it will mean,
it might be problem of ur hardware.
lets check out it by ur computer vendor.

Yes your computer will run faster if you clear up some space on your c drive . The reason for this is the processor can only think fast when there is enough room for processes to be used if you have very little space left it has to search through all thst data to find the thing you want to use ! If you have a DVD burner on your lap top burn the movies to DVD and keep your c drive clear of movies and music they take up more room then most programs If you dont get one or get an external hard drive and keep your movies on that .Hope this helps...Dean

Slow startup is caused by programs that initialize during startup. THings like MSN messenger, any VPN software, or just about anything that runs in your system tray (down by the clock)  try removing things from your startup folder and setting programs not to start when windows starts. 

 

You can also shut down these programs from the run menu by running the msconfig command...but I suggest you research what you're turning off before you try that...as you could disable wanted processes,
