Does not recognize camcorder-Can't install program

Turn the power switch on your camcorder to "Off." Connect the USB cable that came with the camcorder to the USB port on the camcorder. If you are using the DV cable, connect one end of the cable to the computer first. Put the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on your computer. If you are using the DV cable, connect it to the camcorder. Power on your camcorder. Wait while your computer recognizes the attached JVC GR-D270U camcorder. Typically you will get a pop-up on your screen asking how you want to proceed once the camcorder has been recognized. Open your video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Roxie, iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. Import, or capture, the video from the camcorder to your computer using the video editing software. For example, in iMovie you click on "File," then "Import from Camera" to download the movie from your camcorder to the computer.

You'll need to install a driver (on your PC) for the camcorder first .... for the PC to recognize the device. The driver is usually provided in the software CD that came with the camcorder. Or, you may try to search for it on Samsung's website or ask a Tech Support person where to get it.

I disagree VERY much with Bubbabear64. I tried what he said and I had lots of problems. The computer wouldn't import and sometimes it wouldn't recognize the camera. I installed the 2 programs that came with the camera on the CD, and all of a sudden it worked great. So install the audio driver and the picture importer on the JVC disk that came with your camera.

did you install the cd driver camed with you camcorder to your pc? install it so that it recognizable the camcorder to your pc.

i had this problem la port 1934 is active ? it`s been my first problem
second my problem to many USB conected so virtual memory problem :):). . I used program PowerDVD after that no more problem and im hapy i hope you will try. CIAO

Hi Hope you guys checked, there is an update for this imagemixer3 software on the panasonic site. Try to update with this patch may be your problems get resolved.

the software (ulead) included with the camcorder does not recognize the file type even when its in a .avi format. The computer will recognize it and it will even run through another program. But I need to be able to upload the .avi file to the program that came with the camcorder so I can edit them before they are burned to the DVD. The other program that I have (trial version of Allok - I had to try it since ulead wouldn't work) will not edit, only burns. AND it leaves a very visible watermark because it is a trial version. IPlease help.

(using Newsoft programs you can touch up pictures, create albums or slide shows) To download images from the camcorder to the PC, you will need to use the provided JVC software Picture Navigator, JLIP Video Capture, or the USB connection depending on the model of your camera. Consult the above chart to determine which software you received with your camera.
