You need an IEEE 1394 cable. It's also known as Firewire (apple), or I-Link (Sony). It doesn't matter. Just go down to your local electronics store or Best Buy and ask for Firewire cable (they will know what you're talking about). That will fix you. there is a very thin ribbon cable that runs to the screen from the body of the camera.
It is a very thin mylar sheet that eventually just wears out. sounds like you have a short in that cable, they usually wear out from excessive opening/closing and over time.
I`VE LOST THE CD SOFTWARE
I'm not certain whether everything that was on the CD is available from the Samsung web site, but there are drivers and software available from then to download: click here>

Ah, my best guess would be that you have the auto-focus setting turned off. You'll have to go into the menu options (not sure exactly which ones) and look for either "Focus" or "Auto Focus" and set it from manual, to auto. Play around with the settings, get used to what they do, check in the owners manual if there's something you're not sure of, and if this doesn't fix the problem post again and I'll see what I can find out.
My LCD was first blank(White
Your flat wire / ribbon cable that goes from the LCD display to the main PCB is fractured and split, thus it looses signal and as in your case the split has worsened and you have lost power to the backlight also, which comes from this very cable.
You will need to replace it and it may not come as just the cable but the entire LCD panel.
This is a common fault on many camera's of different makes.

Hi,
The only way to download your video to your computer is by using a firewire cable. You will also need a firewire port on your computer. If you don't have such a port you can buy a PCI firewire port.
After you have connected your camera to your pc using the firewire cable you can transfer your video using a video editing software. You can use Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows.

that issue will come to any camera these days , you know what to do , you go to you local shop(wallmart or something) and ask for a cleaning tape its not very expensive and make sure that the tape is dry then put it where you put your tapes in the camera and play , and eventually the picture will get good again ...god bless ya and good luck=)

for somebody this works and for sombody it just dosent work , but try it anyways before you go to the service , on almost every cameras there are tapes in the camera , take them out and you will se a small , very small thing where it stands save and rec , make sure that the thing/arrow stands att rec then you can record again but as i said at the begining this dosent work at everybody so ...god bless you and good luck =)
