Jams in the Document Tray

When a document jams or misfeeds in the Document Tray, <OPEN COVER> and <SEE FIG. 1> <!!CHECK!! 5100> are displayed on the LCD.

Note
You do not need to unplug the fax when clearing document jams.

* When <OPEN COVER> and <SEE FIG. 1> are displayed alternatively

1. Press [Stop].

Important
Do not pull out the jammed paper manually at this point.

2. Hold down [Start/Copy] for a few seconds.

* The document will be fed out automatically.

* If the document is not fed out, gently pull the document out of the fax.

* When <!!CHECK!! 5100> is displayed

1. Check if any paper is jammed.
If jammed, make sure to take out all the jammed paper.

2. After taking out jammed paper, turn the fax off, then turn it back on with [ON/OFF].
Jams in the Multi-Purpose Tray

If paper jams in the Multi-Purpose Tray, <CLEAR PAPER JAM> is displayed on the LCD.

1. Gently pull any jammed paper out of the fax as shown, then press [Stop].

* Pull it gently in either direction.

* If you cannot pull the paper out, continue with the steps below.

2. Open the Printer Cover.

3. Gently remove the jammed paper inside the fax.

4. Press [Stop].
The fax returns to standby mode.

Only 2 things can be done. Switch it on or off repeatedly, the paper will automatically come out. Second, disassemble it and take out the papers.

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Make sure to blow off the optical device near the print head.

It may not have a paper jam at all.

dirty pick up rollers. take the paper tray out and them you will see 2 half moon rollers, clean them with alcaho and you will be ok.

the jam is in the fuser assembly. you will have to have a technician fix this. the fuser will probably need to be replaced.

Where inside in fixing unit, drum unit,...
It is problem if its fixing unit jam.Best take it to service

hi this is some small pieces of paper which had gone inside in ur printer when u prints. this one have to contact printer engineer to clean the printer

Clean the big rubber roller in the document feeder with a microfiber cloth moistened with windex or alcohol then retry fax
