My sx200 is taking 2-4 seconds to process every pic so I wait to take next shot.

There are several reasons this could occur - you may wish to check out other responses to similar queries. The first thing I would check is if you have the camera set to display each image as you take it - if so, turn this off. Next, the use of a faster SD or SDHC card will speed up processing time per shot. Another possibility is the quality of the processed image - if you have selected a large image at high quality, this too will slow things down. Maybe you could compromise and go for a smaller image, or a lower quality one. Finally, is your camera capable of burst shooting ? Taking several shots in quick succession ? If so, you may want to experiment with this to see if it helps.

How to delete pictures?

Hi,

To delete the images from the Camera, press the Play button on the Camera to view the images. Display the images which you want to delete and press the DELETE button (Recycle Bin icon) located below the lower left of the Control buttons.
To delete multiple images, slide the index lever and select with the control buttons.
While the index screen is displayed, press the Delete button and select the images with the control buttons and select Enter button. Now, select the images which you want to delete and press the Enter button to display the Delete icon on the images. Press the Delete button again to delete all the images.
You can also delete all the images in the folder by selecting All in this Folder to delete the images.
To delete all the images in the Memory Stick you can select the Format option from the Internal Memory Tool or the Memory Stick Tool Menu to Format the Internal Memory or the Memory Stick.

Where do i go to delete the pictures?it is a sony cyber shot DSC-W120

To delete images:
Read to the end first...

Display the image you want to delete.
Press MENU.
Select the little rubbish bin (DELETE) using the UP/DOWN arrow buttons.
Select (THIS IMAGE) with left and right buttons.
Press (CIRCLE)
Select (OK) with up arrow and then press (CIRCLE) again.
There does not seem to be an option for bulk deletions.
The process for this camera is very long winded.
The reason they do this is to make sure you really do want to delete the image.
This does seems a little excessive though.
See USA manual page 18 or find manual here:

Photos are blurred.

Blurred images are caused by several reasons: motion due to camera shake, use of slow shutter speeds and failure of the camera to focus correctly.

Slow shutter speeds

When light is low, wide apertures and slow shutter speeds will be selected automatically by the camera. Most people can't take blur-free, hand-held shots when the shutter speed is under 1/60th of a second.

Cameras that have optical Image Stabilization help but even IS has its limits. Increase room lighting, increase the ISO setting or use a tripod, or use a combination of all three.

Blurred images or misfocus

If an image is blurred due to camera shake, the blur will appear throughout the entire image. If parts of an image are in focus, and others are not, you've misfocused.

Idk how to delete!

You can download the manual for your camera here:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DSC-W120%20&region_id=1

To delete photos:

  • Enter the playback mode.
  • Press the [Menu] button
  • Use the up/down buttons to select the trashcan (delete) icon.
  • You can use the left/right buttons to select single image, multiple images or All images.
  • Press the center (round) button.
  • Press the center button (repeatedly if doing multiple images) and then Press the [Menu] button again and choose OK.

That should do it.
Note that you can also delete photos quite easily by connecting the camera to your computer with the USB cable and deleting the images with Windows Explorer.

Strange lines at bottom of images and "unidentified image" error messages

This sounds like a possible write problem with your flash card. Do you have another memory card (preferably different make) that you could try with the camera?
