Where do I connect P6 and P7 for my HP 6000? CD-Rom is not working and not recognized by Device Manager. When I opened the tower, P6 and P7 were laying in the bottom. Are they part of the CD/DVD Drive? If...

The P6 and P7 connectors you found inside your HP 6000 tower are indeed related to the CD/DVD drive. They are typically used to provide power and data connections to the drive. Here's how you can connect them properly:
1. Power Connection (P6): The P6 connector is usually a 4-pin Molex power connector. It provides power to the CD/DVD drive. Locate a corresponding power socket on the back of the CD/DVD drive. It should have four pins and match the shape of the P6 connector. Connect the P6 connector to the power socket on the drive. Ensure it is securely attached.
2. Data Connection (P7): The P7 connector is usually a 40-pin IDE or SATA data connector, depending on the type of CD/DVD drive installed. Locate the corresponding data socket on the back of the CD/DVD drive. It should have either a 40-pin IDE connector or a smaller SATA connector. Connect the P7 connector to the data socket on the drive. Make sure it is properly aligned and securely connected.
After connecting both the power (P6) and data (P7) connectors, you can close the tower and start the computer. Windows should then detect the CD/DVD drive, and it should appear in the Device Manager. If the drive is still not recognized, there might be additional factors at play, such as driver issues or hardware problems with the drive itself.
If the CD/DVD drive continues to have issues or is not recognized by the system, it may be necessary to troubleshoot further or consider replacing the drive if it is no longer functioning properly.
Please note that the exact connector types and locations may vary depending on the specific model and configuration of your HP 6000 desktop computer. If you have difficulty locating the appropriate connectors or need further assistance, it is recommended to refer to the computer's user manual or contact HP's customer support for precise instructions tailored to your specific model.

I have an old JVC TH-p7 home theater system. My remote control stopped working. I have an Philips universal remote control, but I can't find the code needed the TH-P7

If you cannot get the Philips to work you could always look to purchase another JVC remote that is compatible with the TH-P7. I believe that the remote model# is JVC RM-STHP7U. You can find the replacement remote by using the remote control search engine below. Here are the search results for the JVC RM-STHP7U:

Tv turns on shuts off and the power light blinks 10

Hi,

10 blinks on Panasonic TH-42PX75U is a fault either on the 5V, 3.3V, 9V, Tuner power. The suspected board that is gone to malfunction is either the P board (power supply) or the A board.
To isolate which board is faulty, you have to test the output voltage of the P board through connector P6 and P7 using the multimeter set in DC measurement.
You must get 15VDC (P6) pin 1,2,3.
You must get 15VDC (P7) pin 1,2,
You must get 5VDC (P7) pin 5
You must get 5VDC (P7) pin 10

If there's a missing voltages above, you have to replaced the P-board.
Note : you should placed the multimeter test prod to the said test point prior from powering on the unit to get an accurate reading.
If the voltages are intact, you have to replaced the A-board.

Here's the link for the boards or obtain it from your local Panasonic Service Center.
P board
A board

Please double check the actual part no. of your board before ordering online to ensure you will get the exact replacement.

Also, please check if your unit is under warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free. Opening the rear cover will void the warranty.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

Panasonic th-42pz80u...dead set...red LED blinks twice at turn-on...the 15v supply on pin 1 of P7 comes up for a second then shuts down

I'm no expert but I have the same tv I'm trying to fix, different problem from yours.I think you can take a resistance reading from that pin to ground and if there is a short, you can start unplugging different boards and when you have the right one the short will go away,if not its the power supply.Put in a search on google with something like board layout for TH-42PZ80U and click on the link 11th generation and you can tell if I told you right or not

Where does the p7 plug onto,... for the dell dimension 2400

I'm really not sure what you mean by "P7 plug", and without knowing more about your system and OS... I generically searched Dell Support page for Dimension 2400 and found a page of driver downloads (76) (if you install, make sure you do them in order. instructions are on the page. just go to Dell support and put in your service tag # or search generically)What I did find is an owners manual, and if yours has been misplaced (like most of mine) just follow this link. P.S. I still don't know P7 but maybe the answer you need is in there. Best wishes and good luck. -jmattes I looked again, sorry it's a DC plug but I didn't see where it goes. There's a link for service manual there too. http://supportapj.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/index.htm
