Repair The speaker plays the words, but when it gets bass, I get a horrible screech. I want to know if I am able to fix this speaker, and how much it will cost me. I got the speaker from a friend who has passed away, and I really want to keep this one speaker, besides the fact that it kicks @$$!!

He's right, the sub is most likely blown. this sub was made with a quick change motor assembly, though... just look for the replacement assembly.

I have a system installed and i have mtx speakers plus mtx subwoofers i want to know how could i take the bass of the speakers because it sounds horrible when loud

if you turn the bass setting in your radio down it will take the bass out, but may take some of the bass out of the subs as well, if this occurs and you still are not satified, you either have to get a car receiver with a non fading subwoofer preout, or you could get bass blockers for all the speakers you dont want the bass in

Amp was playing fine. Was unhooking speaker and accidently touched the remote bass plug on amp. One speaker was still plugged in and playing while this happened. Now when I hook up the speaker all I get...

Maybe, but you would need to take it to a stereo repair shop. If a wire is burned out or a small component is blown, it can potentially be replaced. May be cheap and easy, or may be too expensive to repair for the cost of the amp.

When I hook up my speakers the music sounds horrible its like the bass is not transfering over to the speakers how do I fix this problem

Lets check the simple stuff first. Check the speaker calbes and make sure that they are both hooked up the same way. If you have colored cables, then make sure that both "red" (for example) wires are connected to the positive(+) terminal of the speakers. If you have one to + and one to -, you will get sound out but lose the bass. This is because the speakers will be out of phase. This is the most common cause of the loss of bass response.

If that does not resolve the problem, please check with headphones to confirm that the problem is with the amp and not the speakers. Update this with your results.

Thanks,
Dan

Bass sound coming out whenever i move the right speaker

seems like one of the wires is loose either inside the speaker or in the cable leading to it.
best chance is to open up the right speaker ( involvs damage to the plastic , since atp3 speakers are glued and practically unopenable with out breaking)
and then trying to play with the wires `till you find the sourse of the problem.
as soon as you know where the probles is , i`m sure its gonna be easy to fix, again , the hard part is to take this speaker apart.
good luck

Adcom GFA 5500 right channel emits horrible sound. Broken highs and no bass. Is is repairable by a semi amatuer?

Adcom makes a great amplifer! Usually broken highs and no bass means blown speaker. Try hooking it up to a completely different input source. Try different speakers also. If problem persists, check the fuse. Most will have a fuse on the back you can screw out. Some have two fuses (one for each channel) If this doesn't fix the problem it could be expensive to fix. Also, does this model ave the thermal protection light and if so, does it come on at all?

Screeching with Bass

If it's happening only in one speaker, then the speaker is almost certainly damaged.

Cassette player works fine, then screeches after 20-30 minutes.

Yeppers very common problem .. If the noise dosent come from the speakers then the problem is in the motor in the cassette deck. if the problem comes from the speakers when the deck is playing a tape, then the problem is in the record/playback switch. you may beable to fix it by spraying just a lttle bit of tuner cleaner inside the switch. It shouldnt cost much to have a repair shop do this as if you spray too much your going to ruin the belts and the mechanism. Good Luck
