If you already checked the obvious like cords not plugged in or the mute was engaged on the PC then try unplugging the power cord to the speakers for a few seconds then plug it back in.. This is like rebooting the speakers.

Best bet would be to just strip the wire with a wire stripper or utility knife and twist the bare ends together to fix the connection. A little electrical tape around those wires and you should be almost good as new. Of course you might notice some difference in quality but I'm pretty sure the only way round that would be replacing the cable.

Try it out and let me know how it works out for you. If you know how to solder it might be a good idea to solder the connection as well.

Then buy another one

the only way to fix,is to colour code them back together,or go spend some more $$$ on new ones....later

I am also experiencing the same problem as yours...

Obviuosly,the tiny wires inside the insulations have more often than not,red and or white colors and you might have erroneously reconnected them through soldering.Yet,you didnt get the desired result.Visit an electronics spareparts store nearest you but make sure you bring the damaged cord with you,Inquire from them for a compatible cord which you can use as a replacement because if you continue using tis damaged cord might severely affect the entire system.Thanks.
