My psp has a very thin line on the middle of the screen

Ok i borrowed my psp to a friend which after a few days informed me that the psp was lagging due to a new game which he added in. But when he came to me in the evening the psp was fine and not lagging. Several days after he said that the psp's loading time was very slow and thus the line came out. It is not a crack or anything but its as if the line was part of the theme or something. I do not know exactly how the line came to be. I tried to delete the game which he added in but still does not work.

Pls I really need your help on this one.

Pink lines running across screen

Sounds like your lcd screen is bad and needs to be replaced. Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the laptop. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without the lines, then your video card inside the computer is good but your lcd screen is bad. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same lines as your lcd screen then your video card inside the computer is bad.

It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If the video shows on the external monitor that proves your video card is ok, ,but your lcd screen is bad. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

Coloured lines across the computer

Hook a spare monitor to the video output, if picture okay the LCD panel display will need to be replaced, go to www.ebay.com type make and model of laptop, refine search to screen. But if both show the same symptom it is the video graphics card.

Getting scratches on screen

Sound like your monitor is about to go out. Try a different monitor to make sure. Borrow one from a relative, friend, neighbor or co-worker. If the borrowed monitor does ok without the scratches and lines, then your original monitor is going bad. If the borrowed monitor does the same thing, then your video card inside the computer is going bad.

My psp will not turn on or chaage

Hi, firstly i would take out the battery and clean the brass connectors with a moist wipe and dry it afterwards, do the same with the connectors on the PSP, put it all back together and see if that works. Otherwise i think your battery has died completely, so if you have a friend with a working PSP you could borrow his battery to comfirm. A new battery can be bought on ebay for a few ££
