On the velbon vgb 3, the leg locks consist of a lever, one or two pieces of metal and a plastic piece. The metal and plastic pieces rest in a depression against the lever. When the lever is pulled out, pressure against the smaller leg section is released. When the lever is pushed in, pressure against the smaller leg section is exerted, locking the legs in place. On the back side of each joint, there is a phillips head screw which acts as a stop to keep the leg section from coming all the way out. When the screw is backed out, the leg section can be removed, exposing the latching mechanism. If the only problem is that the latch mechanism came apart, it can simply be reassembled. If, however, something broke and allowed the latch assemby to come apart, that will have to be dealt with as well. My guess is that the phillips screw may have become loose, and the latch came apart.

Hi I keep having the same problem with my land rover discovery series I, for some reason a little piece of plastic inside the door handle keeps breaking I've already replaced it once and now its broken...

I am guessing that the plastic bit is what holds the wire /rod in the hole of the lock lever It is a common connection piece in lock manufacture. If that is the case the piece that breaks is the bit that clips around the rod section(the clip fingers break off). Two fixes spring to mind is to use a piece of small wire (paper clip ) reposition the clip and tie to rod ( small zip tie may be easier) or 2 there are metal clips that do the same job( Mazda early models use these) but you could possible get them from a panel repair shop

Turns over but won't fire

well the plastic piece are from the timing chain guides are either broken or ripped off,and the metal rattling was probably the timing chain,,i think the timing chain jmped or broke and broke the guides,if thats the car you most likely bent the valves in the head,,,i would remove the cam cover and the timing chain cover and see what you got,you may need a engine

I have Wahl vision 180 B & M trimmer M 9858, with 3 complete parts separated:a)a 1.5" x 1.5" flattish blk plastic & metal piece with cutting 'comb' at the end; b)a 1" x 1.25" Blk & metal piece...

It is very likely that one of the plastic pieces that hold the spring mechanism broke. If you send it back (with all the pieces and clipper) to Wahl Clipper, 2900 N. Locust St., Sterling, IL 61081, they will probably fix it for you for free.

My verbatim 4GB flash drive broke. The metal

If the metal piece just came out of the plastic casing, you may try reconnecting it to the computer and see if it would be detected by the computer. If it's detected, back up all the files.

But if the metal piece broke off, sorry but there's no way to fix it.

Now, you may look for a Data Recovery Center near you. The Data Recovery Centers are computer shops or stores that offers data restoration, back up or retrieval.

Hope these helps and have a great day!

Lever broke

Hi,

The plastic used is a thermoset, so should not want to melt in order to join together again by that method.

I would recommend using a clear 2 part epoxy resin. Make sure all parts are clean using a degreaser - cleaner, and dry thoroughly for several hours before repair. Use elastic bands or tape to hold items in place while the adhesive sets - about 24 hours for full cure.

If there is still a problem after this, please contact again, or rate so that other may follow the advice given. Thank you.
