Need parts to repair pan handle

The model is a Velbon PH-368 vel Flo video tripod. The screw and washer that hold the pan handle in place fell off. It's an easy fix but I need the part. Anyone know where I can simply buy parts?

    Hi, I have a Velbon Videomate PH-358. The head and tripod is good. However the head is missing some parts. Velbon website won't let anyone in. What can I do?

I just had this problem! I took it to Ace hardware and the guys helped me out, big time. I have a PH-358 panhandle and the same piece fell of during a shoot into some brush and dirt outside.

We (they) fixed it using a #6 metric bolt and butterfly wing nut along with two grommets (3/8 ID and 5/8 OD). It worked perfectly! Not only does it hold the handle together but you can tighten or loosen the handle as well using the butterfly wing nut.

Velbon Victory 451 camera tripod. Need manual please.

Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from Car Audio to a better category.

My first tripod was a Velbon. When I started wedding photography, I bought a bigger one for a Bronica medium format camera.

They don't really come with manuals, as they are pretty self explanatory. You can tighten them all down and undo one knob and see what moves. Tighten that and see what happens with the next knob.

Basically though;

You have 3 knobs or clips to extend the legs for height.
You have one knob to raise and lower the central pole. Often this can be used as a monopod.
Then you have the 'Fluid Head', with three adjustments;
1. Pan, this allows the head to move left and right.
2. Tilt, this is normally controlled by turning the stalk that you hold.
3. A knob to turn the camera base Landscape or Portrait.
4. Some have drag/friction knobs and various locks.

There are empty promises of manuals in this link, but there is a video on the Velbon Fluid Head.

Any questions, click COMMENT below this.

I need a spare part for this tripod, its the arm that you need to spin that makes the camera goes up and down. I need a part number and a price for this component. Thanks, Eran

Sorry that I can't give you a definitive answer, but Velbon do not publish a spares catalogue.

Spare parts are usually available for current/recent models but you need to contact Velbon directly via the web address given below; it takes you to another page which is appropriate to your country. The part which you're after is called a centre column crank handle.

http://www.velbon.co.uk/newvelbon/pages/contact.html

Velbon are at the budget end of the market so spares support and repairs have never been that great, but the company do sometimes simply post you a new tripod instead of repairing the old one.

Note that if you're in the UK and the tripod has failed earlier than can reasonably be expected then it is covered by the Sale of Goods Act (SoGA) for up to six years. Note that it is the seller, not the manufacturer, who is liable under SoGA and the manufacturers warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.

Missing part on Tripod - Velbon Victory 550

Where can I get parts?

I got from friend a Velbon Victory 550 tripod. The handle that prevent the head from tilting is missing, and so is a piece of plastic that apparently held the rod upon which the head of the tripod is placed from shaking.

thank you
