It's getting harder & harder to make the volume button work on the harmony 659...can you help?

I have to press & press the volume button and finally it will work. I have cleaned it by taking it apart and blowing dust etc. out of it. It still won't work right.

Call Harmony support. I have the same thing with Harmony 670 and they said it is a hardware error. No fix that I have been able to find. If it is under warranty they will replace it. If not, I don't know what it would cost to repair.

Reread the manaul on the remote control, or call Logitech technical support and see if they can walk you through it, or if you still have the reciept try returning it and getting another one.

My logitech Harmony 659 Remote is in the SAFE Mode and I can't get it off that mode. It told me to change batteries and I did that.

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=11961

To take the Harmony Remote out of Safe Mode, please follow these steps:

  1. Please remove the batteries from your remote
  2. After 10 seconds, re-insert the batteries into your remote
  3. The Harmony Remote should now be working correctly
If this does not resolve the issue, please proceed to re-install the firmware on your Harmony Remote. To do this, launch the Logitech Harmony Remote Software on your computer and login to your account.
  1. Click on the downloads_button.jpg button
  2. Click on the firmware_button.jpg button. Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade the firmware on your Harmony
  3. Once completed, you will be prompted to update your remote. Please do so. If you were not prompted to update your remote, you will need to. Click on the update_remote_button.jpgbutton and follow the onscreen steps
  4. Please un-plug the remote from your computer and test

Volume down button is not working

power reseting it should work, pop out the batteries, press every button twice and put new ones in, if that doesnt work a solder joint might have come undone, if your a techypop it open, if your not please do not risk voiding your warranty and call logitech fr a replacement or take it back to the store
