helllllo.........red lite......[a] red lites means during the update if it lite red remove the thumb drive from the system ,unplug it from the wall outlet one minute +..then plug back in.make sure the system is power on[ showing green led] insert thumb drive....if problem persist call bose @ 1-877-335-2073us/1-877-701-2175canada.......bose-on see me on amazon for bose remotes bookbundler

If the input sources for Channels 1 & 2 are the same, adjust the input Trims to get the same output. Then use the R1 Remote.

There are no user serviceable parts on the L1® Compact (except that you can order replacement extensions). If the power light (normally blue) immediately turns red and stays that way, the Compact will have to be serviced by Bose.

If the power light turns and stays yellow, there is nothing you can do to fix it. You'll need to talk to Bose L1® Support

how to connect bose 5.1 to mixers

Rotate the volume controls. Does this cause the crackle? Try working the controls through several turns up and down.
Also check that the lights on the top are not solid red. This would indicate that the inputs are clipping (the input signal is too strong) or the volume is turned up too high.

You may have to go into the bose setup and select optical in for that particular input. Check your user manuel it should say in it.
