This error means Pressure roller warm-up. Try a hard reset first - Unplug the printer from the power source and PC, wait about 5 minutes and replug everything. If you are still getting the error, try the Fuser reset procedure:
SP5-810 select 1, press and hold the photo mode key and then press and hold
the enter key and wait for 5 beeps.

If the issue still persists, you may have to replace the fuser, or get the machine serviced.

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. - If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating. I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.

Thank you for using FIXYA!

Cheers!

Possible Drum motor, or sensor - you would do best getting a professional in to repair, as self repair on these will no doubt end in issues..

Desperate!!! Ricoh AP3800C Error SC552 fixed last week now back

SC552 means that the pressure roller (Lower roller in the fusing unit located in the left hand door of the machine) is not warming up correctly. Is the copier installed somewhere cold? i.e. a garage? If conditions are ok and damp is not a problem, either the thermistor that controls the pressure temperature is defective, or the lamp that warms it up is defective. They are the two more common problems, might be worth looking for one on ebay. However they are approx 250 pounds so if you can find a second hand one thats cheap for spares I would recommend that. Email me if you have to do this and I will talk you through changing the parts.

Functional problem sc552

I take it this is for a Ricoh?

SC552 is a pressure roller warm up error. It didn't detect the right temperature when it was turned on.

Turn the copier off for 30 seconds and then turn it back on again. If the error message returns, a technician should look at the fuser section to see whats causing the problem.
