Sometimes my philips ftr9955 flat tv with a 42 inch screen will loss picture and appear with a faint line sometimes on the middle bottom and top the rest of the screen is black and sometimes can be good picture for days i know it sounds weird wandering if any1 knows what it could be.
Generally horizontal lines are caused by the panel failing, you can try a new tcon but I don't think it will help.

You have a bad connection on the CRT board thats mounted on the end of the picture tube it sounds like, or the socket on that board that plugs into the TV set is intermittant or has a bad solder connection on it. Good Luck

call philips to get this srviced under warranty. this repair might take a few weeks because the failure could essentially be any one of several parts. first thing to try is the ssb, then the logic board and lvds cable. if none of these work then you need a new panel

You have a Ysus problem. Sounds like a cold solder joint or loss connections on ysus main board.

The problem is in your cable connection on the back of your monitor or Box. I had the same problem and solved it by reattaching the VGA cable that was loose.
